In February 2025, the Council’s Planning Committee approved our application to extend and modernise Matrix Studios, including one new floor, a green roof, and solar panels.
As we moved into detailed design, our architects and engineers identified an opportunity to make better use of the existing roof structure. By raising the roof apex by a further 1.65m, we can create an additional floor within the roof space, providing around 300sqm of new workspace for Fulham’s creative industries.
We are preparing a revised planning application to reflect this additional floor. Before submission, we are sharing the updated proposals with local residents and stakeholders in order to get your feedback and comments.
Neighbour feedback last year directly helped us refine the approved design — for example, adjusting roof materials and reducing the ground floor extension height. We are committed to the same open dialogue on this revised proposal. Your views will help us ensure the Studios continue to evolve in a way that is both sensitive to its surroundings and supportive of Fulham’s long-term creative community.
